Having one of those sleepless nights. Sure regret tomorrow when I have to wake up at 8 for church. LOL.

I have a love hate relationship with Facebook. I love what it can do for brands, hey, I built my career on FB and I’ll be forever grateful 😛  I love catching up with long lost acquaintances, see what they’re up to. But I hate knowing that some friends are no longer friends like we used to be.

Reason #1012928292 why you should not open Facebook after midnight. You will see things you don’t want to see.

Joyce was so mad at Lea and I last week for not having time for her. She was “all by herself” LOL. We met anyway towards the end of the weekend for a short dessert session. Just yesterday we finally went for a Karaoke session and sang our lungs out. We totally needed that Karaoke session, I needed it anyway. I thank God for these two really. Keeps me sane with all our mission to stay healthy, gossips, talking about life, planning our lives together.

Super super lucky to have Sidney too <3 forever and ever and my Lainey Boo, for always being my constant online person everyday and listening to my daily diarrhea of ranting. Of course, TK, Wei Foong, and that one in India, Lavena for always trying to be in my world. LOL. My SYG colleagues – Sarah Jon June. Giam for always giving me life advice. Geng Bas Sekolah <3

Like I’m giving a speech. LOL. I realize i do this every year or so. I get so emotional and thank everyone for being part of my life. I know you don’t have to, but you want to. Thanks XOXO.

I may not keep up with everyone I used to know, but the few that I do keep in touch with on a daily/weekly basis I treasure the most. But sometimes, I guess I miss a lot of people that I have successfully distant myself from. I guess people change, I change. Life happens, we are no longer important to each other. Sad really, seeing how we were once important to each other. But what to do? If you don’t try to keep up with each other, it will never work.

To all my friends that drifted away. . . I still think about you :)

xoxo,

Karen

It has been a while since I did a verbal diarrhea.

It is a Saturday morning and I am under my blankie. It is cold and i am feeling content. Content about life and everything that has been happening. It has been progressing. I have been learning and I am ready to move on to something bigger and exciting. Something more challenging.

Last week I helped Wei Yenn and Vincent decorate their wedding. Something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. Thanks Miss Wei Yenn for trusting me with it. Really gave me some confidence in pulling bigger things. I was worried no one will like it, but in the end, it was a hit. Hopefully other people will want my services of decorating. Always nice to do something you are passionate about.

This is me and Kalai arranging the pinwheels.

The church session…

Don’t we look so cute and innocent! 😛

We also had a photobooth at the wedding! We recycled the backdrop and put the pinwheels on a bunting and wa-la our photowall is ready. It was so pretty on photos! Loved it!

Prop table! :)

And here are the photobooth shots that I loved!

The night went well :) the couple sang on stage, we yum seng, ate awesome 10-course dinner and danced the dikir barat on our table. Geng Bas Sekolah Full attendance. Here’s one shot minus Vincent:

So, my car is stuck at office cos my battery died… This post is titled NEVER LEARN because this is not the first time this happened! Now i’m waiting for my brother to come with an AAM card and call the AAM people… LOL

Grrrr… I guess it is a blessing in disguise because I was about to embark on a long long journey bracing KL traffic.

This is how KL is like on a Friday night, after massive downpour. Red=slow traffic!

I should not even bother going anywhere on Friday nights!

Anyways. What’s been happening?

September was a crazy month of travels. I went to Penang, Singapore and Pulau Weh in 3 weekends!

It was tiring, but majorly fun!

Penang.

Went for a staycation with the SYG. We celebrated Jon’s birthday with his family and had a dose of the Lau family. They were a fun bunch :) The next day, we headed to Lone Pine. It was so pretty and just as I imagined it would be! Love that place. When I’m rich again, I’ll definitely have a staycation there with Sidney and my girls. Must share the awesome ness with them.

The Pool

Sarah, Jon, Me and June. See how i hid behind them? LOL

Of course, the weekend would not be the same without Han who drove us there and Andre.

We went to this place called China House. It was a nice experience. The place was SO long! Like literally. The cafe went on and on and on.

TBC cos my brother arrived with AAM -_-

Still awake. Guess my brain does not want to compute it is Monday and I have to get to work in a few hours -_-

Had to share this 2 photos i took at dinner with Sarah, Jon and June.

This was when Jon roasted beef. Mash and Salad on the side. It was really an awesome dinner. Jonathan is an awesome cook. I want to grow up to cook like Jonathan! LOL.

Here’s one of our simple office dinners that we’ve been having before working out.

This time, we had Wraps with chicken, salad and egg. Simple but filling  :)

Been wanting to dye my hair a radical colour. I’m going to be 26 this year. I need a change of something. Especially my boring hair. So, here are some inspirations, okay maybe not the so drastic ones. LOL

You know where everything falls into place.

Started the weekend on Friday night with the SYG. Last muay thai class and Karaoke. There’s more to that Karaoke. But we shall just let that go 😛

Saturday sleep in, lunch and Queer Eye For the Straight Guy shopping for Sidney’s Room Makeover. LOL. At Giant somemore 😛 helped him rearrange stuff and rushed off for dinner.

Had some crabs with Lea and Sidney. Supposed to be a big feast wtf, but everyone FFK in the end. Wasn’t the best crab meal, but it was okay.

Went to pick up the FFK-er Joyce for desserts, we had UFO and Joyce brought her “cute” handphone cover. Cute, but so ridiculously HUGE! Here’s the lala mui with her handphone cover.

Sidney had stomachache after that, so we went to the doctor at 12am -_-

Sunday church + brunch with the family. Then one WHOLE day with the bf :):)

We hardly spend a whole day together, its been a while.

haha this @sidneyng was cleaning up his room and found a card he forgot to give me 3 years ago -_-

Went to My Burger Lab and had to wait for our burger for like 1 hour. But it was so worth it! 😀 Burger was awesome. Sauces were so good! No regrets!

Just got home at 12. Showered and scrubbed myself and winding down now with a B-grade movie.

I think I’m an addict. Can’t sleep without watching something on TV -_-

diessssss

I wouldn’t have met Amelia if it wasn’t for Leo Club. I met her briefly, and we exchanged emails and became blog buddies during the blog-city era. We formed the Geek-o club with phan shean in college. LOL. such fun times. Then, the trip to Redang was epic. She’s one fun girl and i love her loads! :)

She turned 25 and we celebrated at TwentyOne.

Bavani |Me | Louanne | Awesome Melia | Jessica | Pui Yin

Happy Birthday Melia! Stay awesome!

Thanks to Victor and Lou who came and teman me at Changkat. I still can’t go to that place alone. Scary giler.

How have you been? Happy CNY!

I am now hiding from the children at Taiping in Starbucks. They are cute and all, but sometimes, a little too much kids can make the world go round and round. LOL. Peace and quiet is nice. I cannot take anymore “I want to play your iPhone”. LOL.

Anyways, life’s been alright lately. Work’s been okay. Regarding previous post, I’m alright now. Learnt to take the everything with a pinch of salt. Not to the heart. hehe.

I love being in a working environment with colleagues and people. It has been awesome possum.

Been to one small christmas party at the office.

Been on one company trip to Club Med Cherating. It was superdy duper awesome. I love being in a 5 star hotel, after all these years of staying in small boutique hotels and backpackers places. LOL.

All we did was, eat, drink, chill and oogle at hot GO’s bods. Here, you can see the girls looking to the side? Hot Bod was playing water basketball…

Also, PS is back and we went bar hopping at Changkat with Amelia + Pui Yin + Kenny + Bavani. We had an epic time! Great drinks, awesome company, everyone was quite wasted + dancing. Great night. I think it was because everyone went with the flowww and clicked really well. LOL.

So Lea, Joyce and Loulou came to my house for a night of games last night. We were all 13 again playing Wii. LOL.

We played Guitar Hero, Ju-On game, some silly Japanese games and Wii sports of course! The best was the Ju On game, we switched off all the lights and played like we were really in a dark factory looking for the dog. LOL. Louanne and Joyce was covering their faces, while Lea and I braced the dark old factory looking for our missing dog Ivy, while getting scared by Ju On kid and girl. Fun game!

5046835370_b4e582f19e.jpg (400×400)

We also sorta like did a pot luck, well sorta, cos my mom cooked some food and Lea made salad and bought salted egg yolk prawns. We also had Just Heavenly cakes for dessert! We ended the night with some poser photos and they left at 12 something.

5046212543_5ac4d0c4ef.jpg (400×400)

They also got me a necklace from Foxy Originals that is shaped of a heart and 2 wings for my birthday! So pretty!!! :) But i know its so mahal, you girls shouldn’t have buy so mahal! Just Sg Wang stuff also can! LOL. But anyways, I’ve always loved wings related jewelry ever since Peyton wore the wings earrings in One Tree Hill! Such a TV whore me.

Anyways, THANKS for coming for my lil games party. We should have more “tennis” games! Thanks for the prezzie too!

A lot has been happening in my life lately.

a few changes. a few stagnant things. most importantly, life went on.

-_- wtf am i talking about?

I should really take more photos. I want an Olympus Pen, someone buy for me?

karen ♥hearts concerts

anyways, here’s an update on the concerts I’ve attended recently. Malaysia’s getting quite a number of stars coming down. also resulting in a dry wallet. wtf.

A few weeks back, I went for Mizz Nina’s album launch and I met Colby O Donis. (which reminds me, I need my Colby photos from the guy from AMP!!!)

4869229732_efcd88e5c7_b.jpg (500×740)

Earlier, I also saw Usher in concert. He was as hot as ever, well in terms of his performance. His nostrils are as huge as ever. LOL

4868615115_1bbe7f8d9f.jpg (500×375)

And, Orianthi few days ago.

She’s an awesome guitarist! Respect! Her drummer is also damn hot.

We also went for MTV World Stage. It was raining and we were wet. Read my report of the show here. I dowanna repeat myself. haha. Leave a comment there! Layan my work, yo!

We reached damn late and it was raining, so we entered quite late! We missed the first act, Bunkface. But, managed to watch Wondergirls, Tokio Hotal and Katy Perry. My favourite performance was Katy Perry! She really did up her set to look so whimsical and awesome. I LOVE the colours and the cupcakes, cherries and all the lollipops! She’s so quirky and fun!

Other life updates:

Taken a long time ago, it deserves a spot on my blog cos its too pretty!

Dinner with the girls!

Father’s Day at KL with Darryl.

Craft Party!

Lea invited me for free beer one night and we had all kinds of beer. I come to realize that i really like Irish beer.

This is the boss and I with a car we launched to the media.

Hyundai Tucson, want one?

Jes and the wedding planning geng met up for a wedding update.

2 weeks earlier, Daney came down from BKK and geng bas sekolah met for a Karaoke session.

This is Ko and Daney in Ikea.

Yes, my mom and dad also came and sang songs like from the Alleycats and dream dream dream by the Everly brothers.

Last weekend, Lea and I stayed at the Sheraton for a quickie r&r. HAHA. by quickie i mean, she had dinner at the hotel, I met her at 11pm, we talked, slept, woke up like p diddy, ate a hearty breakfast, swam, showered, ate a hearty lunch and went back home! hahahah.

Here’s us with our P.Diddy robes:

Anyways, I got a haircut on Sunday after mass. My plans of growing it long totally went away when I was feeling icky with the long hair. Plus I didn’t really like how I looked so normal. meh.

Of course that excellent shape of my hair was because it was taken right after the haircut -_- now it doesn’t look so shapely, but its shorter and thinner than the unruly long hair.

I am too lazy to blow dry my hair on a daily basis. I also feel im balding lesser now with lesser hair. Earlier, with the long hair, my hair was like crazyly dropping outta my skull. I feel so sad.

And for the final cherry on top of this post.
